Billboards for Armenian Genocide film “Architects of Denial” to be posted for free at American in Glendale

Billboards for the Armenian Genocide film “Architects of Denial” will be posted at the Americana at Brand in Glendale for free, reported asbarez.com. On August 17, just hours before the press conference held by the Armenian National Committee of America-Glendale chapter against the decision prohibiting the placement of billboards for the Armenian Genocide film at the Americana at Brand, the Committee received a letter signed by owner of the Americana at Brand Jackie Levy stating that the billboards will be placed at the Americana for free.
In her letter, Jackie Levy also condemns all acts of violence in the world, including the Armenian Genocide, and the film “Architects of Denial” is devoted Turkey’s policy of denial of that Genocide.
The Armenian National Committee of America-Glendale chapter welcomes this late, but major decision, stressing the fact that this is the first step in addressing a larger issue of sensitivity toward the Armenian-American community.
The Armenian National Committee of America expressed gratitude to the Armenian community for rising to the occasion and ensuring Americana’s change of heart.
The Armenian National Committee of America-Glendale chapter has also expressed gratitude to State Senator Anthony Portantino, members of Glendale City Council, U.S. Congressman Adam Schiff, LA County Supervisor Kathryn Barger and Los Angeles Councilmember Paul Krekorian for responding to the call of the Armenian community for action.
