Russia and Armenia discuss cooperation in diamond-cutting and jewelry making

Russia and Armenia might expand their partnership in the fields of jewelry making and diamond-cutting. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to the Russian Federation Vardan Toghanyan, Advisor to the Minister of Economic Development and Investments of the Republic of Armenia Gagik Mkrtchyan and Trade Representative of the Republic of Armenia in the Russian Federation Karen Asoyan met with Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Alexey Moiseyev to consider the issue.

As reported the press service of the RA Ministry of Economic Development and Investments to Hayern Aysor, during the meeting, the sides discussed the issue on raising the level of effectiveness of supply of diamond raw material from Alrosay and Gokhran. The members of the Armenian delegation also touched upon the issues of mutual recognition of the state hallmarks.

The sides considered the application of innovative approaches and new mechanisms for the solution to the issues and reached an agreement on taking action as soon as possible.

According to Advisor to the Minister of Economic Development and Investments Gagik Mkrtchyan, the implementation of those agreements will ensure continuity of growth of the sectors.
