Minister of Diaspora: “The homeland starts from the border and borderline villages”

On July 21, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received young members of the Glendale-based Armenian Eagles Foundation (Andranik Baloyan, Vahram Shalvardzyan and Arax Galstyan) and programs correspondent of Armenia’s Border NGO Anahit Nazaryan.

The young Armenian Americans have funded business plans in cooperation with Border NGO in Armenia’s borderline regions. In Baghanis village, the Armenian Eagles Foundation is carrying out five business plans. It has opened a sewing factory and has provided funding for implementation of business ideas in the service sector.

Greeting the guests, Minister Hranush Hakobyan expressed gratitude to the young patriots for their pro-national program and particularly stated the following: “I am infinitely grateful as an Armenian and as a state official. The homeland starts from the border and borderline villages. We need to fortify the villages. There is a tremendous amount of work to do in every village. Your movement should become a pan-Armenian movement. Youth are active and enterprising. You need to become the driving force and consolidate others around you. I am charmed and am proud to see such young Armenians in the homeland and abroad who live abroad, but care about the strengthening of the homeland’s borders. We are seeing the growth of a generation of strong Armenians. We Armenians are eternal. Our knowledge and capabilities are infinite. Having a powerful Armenia is our vision, our goal, our future and the dream of all us Armenians.”

The guests expressed gratitude for the cordial reception and words of encouragement. Andranik Baloyan shared their impressions and presented the organization’s programs, perspectives and potential. “We are very impressed. During our conversations with villagers, we understood that their vision to work and be employed instills hope in the future. The villagers’ motivation also motivated us. If there are more similar programs, the situation can change. It is necessary to create opportunities for workers,” he said.

The Armenian Eagles Foundation is certain that many will want to join the Foundation after learning about the organization’s programs.
