Canada’s Rex Power Magnetics has created dozens of jobs for Syrian-Armenian refugees

A Canadian company dealing with the production of electronic devices has provided jobs for dozens of Syrian-Armenians who recently moved to Canada.

Last year, Rex Power Magnetics, which has about 300 employees, carried out a drastic enlargement program for not only business purposes, but also for the creation of jobs for Syrian-Armenians, writes tert.am.

Currently, the company has 43 Syrian-Armenian employees. The company’s owners – Levon and Simon Haserjian – grew up in Aleppo and are descendants of Armenian Genocide survivors. The two brothers received their education in engineering at the University of Toronto.

Representative of the service for migration affairs in Toronto Mario Cala stated that Rex Power Magnetics has provided jobs to not only Syrian-Armenians, but also refugees who have moved to Canada over the past couple of years. By creating jobs, the company sets an example for all large organizations in Canada.
