Armenian Plans Festival to be held in Tavush Province

On July 1-2, the Yenokavan village of Tavush Province will host the 3rd Armenian Plants Festival. As reported the office of the regional governor of Tavush Province, the festival will provide attendees with the opportunity to get to know the plans that grow, but are still unknown in Armenia. The motto for the festival is “We preserve what we love. We love what is known to us”. The festival will be launched at 10:00 on July 1. It will feature instructive games and events for not only children, but also families.

The special guests of the event will be the famous band Puzzles’ 5 Pieces from Ijevan, as well as Miqayel Voskanyan & Friends and Tonatsuyts Folk Theater.

The second day of the festival will feature field trips to the beautiful sites in Tavush Province during which the participants will have the chance to become more familiar with the plants growing and unknown in Armenia. There will also be field trips to Okonokhach, Samsonavank Monastery and Servansikhach during which the guides will teach the participants how to use various plants.

There will also be special guests, including Ambassador of Switzerland to Armenia Lukas Gasser and the ambassadors of other countries. Like last year, the longest sandwich in the world will also be prepared this year. Entrance is free.
