Afterwards, they visited the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute and toured the Museum.
Fotiou Fotis left a note in the register for guests of honor and particularly stated the following: “It is hard to believe all that we saw today, but unfortunately, the truth is horrifying. I am here on behalf of the people of Cyprus to pay tribute to the victims of the crime perpetrated by the Turks. It is the duty of each person to recognize the Armenian Genocide. I am from Cyprus, a country that was subjected to repressions by the Turkish authorities in 1974. Today we must combine our efforts to prevent any new bloodshed in the world. We must stand united in order to foster the establishment of the supremacy of human rights amongst our nations. Let us believe that the international community will not allow repetition of crimes like the Armenian Genocide.”
The Cypriot delegates also visited the Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts (Matenadaran) where they toured the galleries, became familiar with the ancient books and highly appreciated the art of Armenian literature.
