Davidian & Mariamian Educational Foundation holding year-end ceremonies

As reported Hayern Aysor, from May 18 to June 9, the branches of the Davidian & Mariamian Educational Foundation of Glendale in 24 U.S. cities are holding year-end ceremonies that are attended by President of the Davidian & Mariamian Educational Foundation Vahik Satoorian, Principal Ophelia Satoorian, parents, community representatives, principal of public schools, clergymen of the Armenian Apostolic Church and other guests. During all the events, the students not only perform Armenian patriotic songs, recite poems devoted to patriotism and star in plays devoted to patriotism, but also perform the Armenian and American national anthems and say the “Hayr Mer” Lord’s prayer.

Vahik Satoorian and Ophelia Satoorian express their greetings to all the guests and urge the students to learn the native language with more motivation, maintain their strong bonds with Armenia and never become detached from their roots.

May 21st marked the grand commencement ceremony for the alumni of the Educational Foundation. The President and Principal of the Educational Foundation, principals of public schools, a clergyman, parents and others also participated in this event.

The Davidian & Mariamian Educational Foundation was founded in 1987 by a group of alumni of the Kushesh Davtian & Mariamian Educational Foundation in Iran. They had decided to organize Armenian language courses to help Armenian children of the Diaspora preserve their national identity and to foster national preservation.

Currently, the Davidian & Mariamian Educational Foundation has 24 branches in seven U.S. cities, and the largest one is in Glendale.
