RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan had several meetings in Córdoba

The working visit of Minister of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia to South America continues.

According to Hayern Aysor, on June 1, Hranush Hakobyan left Buenos Aires for Córdoba to meet with the municipal authorities and representatives of the Armenian community.

The Minister met with Mayor of Córdoba Ramón Javier Mestre and Prime Minister of Córdoba Juan Carlos Massei and discussed a number of issues related to the cooperation between Armenia and Argentina. Hranush Hakobyan expressed gratitude to them for the support that they have shown to the Armenian community and called on them to establish closer ties with the Republic of Armenia. The Minister also presented the strategy of the Ministry of Diaspora and the programs that have been carried out.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Argentina Esther Mkrtumyan, head of the Armenian community of Córdoba Eduardo Toutoushian and Pastor of the St. George Armenian Apostolic Church, Rev. Fr. Priest Harutioun Sepanian were also attending the meetings.

The Minister visited the Sahag-Mesrop Armenian School in Córdoba, the local St. George Church, the ARF-D Antranig Club and the AGBU Club.

Greeting the Argentine-Armenians, the Minister wished that they stay attached to their roots, preserve their Armenian identity abroad, never forget their native language and visit Armenia often.

During the meeting, the Minister granted certificates of appreciation to the representatives of the community and the local choirs and dance groups for their pro-national activities.
