AGBU Argentina Chapter provides assistance through “What are YOU doing for Artsakh?” pan-Armenian movement for the first time
Hayern Aysor had informed that AGBU Argentina Chapter had joined the “What are YOU doing for Artsakh?” pan-Armenian movement.
Within the scope of the pan-Armenian movement, AGBU Argentina Chapter held concerts in Buenos Aires (4 May) and Cordoba (6 May). The concerts featured performances by violinist of YANNI band Samvel Yervinyan; Argentina-based Armenian musician and Honorary Member of AGBU Argentina Chapter Gagik Gasparyan and pianist Armen Kuzikyan, while Ararat Armenian Dance Group (director Veronica Karadakhian) joined them with performances of Armenian dances during the concert in Cordoba.
All proceeds from the concerts will be used to purchase musical instruments for music schools in Artsakh.
It didn’t take too long for the responses. According to Gagik Gasparyan, with the help of AGBU Argentina, the Hovhannes Tumanyan Secondary School in the Ishkhanadzor village of Kashatagh region already has a new piano.
On this occasion, in an interview with Hayern Aysor, head of the village Arsen Telunts expressed his gratitude to the Argentine-Armenians for their charity and noted that this event helped the residents of the village understand that they are not alone and that their problems are being solved. He also noted that the presence of a musical instrument goes to show not only its necessity, but also the realistic Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora relations.
Let us add that the piano is for all the students and the children who are members of the extracurricular music club.
