Book exhibition-sale dedicated to 400th anniversary of St. Mary Church of New Julfa held at central hall of the Armenian Educational Complex

The annual book exhibition-sale organized by the administration of Kananian Girls and Katarinian Boys Middle Schools of the Armenian Educational Complex in New Julfa, the teachers and the Parent Council was dedicated to the 400th anniversary of the St. Mary Church of New Julfa this year. The exhibition began with opening remarks by Prelate of the Armenian Diocese of Isfahan, Bishop Babgen Charian. After the school librarian’s welcoming remarks, the guests visited the sections for books and mind games showcased in Armenian, Persian and English languages. The children’s section attracted the guest with the puppet game. The event began with news in Alik Daily, Payman periodical and the book History of New Julfa. In the end, the school’s vice-superintendent Rima Simonian-Ohanian expressed her gratitude to all those who helped organize the exhibition and the opening program and thanked libraries for their efforts, particularly the school’s past and current libraries who had helped organize the exhibition-sale.

The ensuing exhibition of Armenian schools kicked off on November 22 and drew to an end on November 29.

Let us mention that this beautiful event is very popular to Armenian families and provides the opportunity for them to see new books and buy the ones that interest them the most. It should also be mentioned that the parents work together every day to sell the books and entertain the gathered at the closed and open café.
