Contract on donation of area for Museum of Charles Aznavour signed

Upon Decision No 273 of the Government of the Republic of Armenia of 23 March 2017, the area envisaged for the Home-Museum of Charles Aznavour at 11/4 Antarayin Street in Yerevan (1224.4 square meter area and 0.1 hectare land parcel required for use and service) has been donated to the Aznavour Foundation under the condition that it serves as the museum of Charles Aznavour and as a cultural center.

The press service of the Department for State Property Management reports that the Department and the members of Aznavour’s family solemnly signed today a donation contract that Acting Director of Aznavour Foundation Christina Sarkisian, who is the wife of Charles Aznavour’s son, Nicola Aznavour, signed on behalf of the Aznavour Foundation.

The to-be-created museum will store and showcase values of art and culture and will not be limited to the exhibits of audio-visual materials showing the life of Charles Aznavour.

The cultural center of Aznavour Foundation in Yerevan will host various cultural events, including concerts, master classes, film screenings and French language courses, as well as social programs. The cultural center will also have recording studios and offices.
