Moscow’s “Hayordats Toon” Armenian School/Center hosts Easter event

On April 23 (Double Easter), the “Hayordats Toon” Armenian School/Center in Moscow hosted an event devoted to Easter.

As reported the information center of “Hayordats Toon” to Hayern Aysor, Christianity teacher of the Armenian Apostolic Church Haikuhi Chobanyan and actor, director and teacher of “Hayordats Toon” Armenian School/Center Knarik Papikyan presented the life, Crucifixion and Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ to a child named Harutyun (meaning “Resurrection” in Armenian) and his grandfather named Harutyun through dialogue and a staged play.

During the event, Chobanyan and Papikyan also presented the procedure of the celebration through Easter songs and games. Every year, the teachers of the Armenian School/Center do their best to present the Tiding of Resurrection of Jesus Christ in a new way and include new characters, and this year was no exception. This time, the young people, known to the audience from the events devoted to patriotism, played the roles of Christ and Baby Resurrection, which bound them even more to be more convincing and set an example for their younger co-stars.

At the end, spiritual superintendent of “Hayordats Toon” Armenian School/Center, Fr. Priest Arakel Amiryan conveyed the blessing of His Holiness and added the following: “Perhaps there is nobody in the hall who wasn’t moved by this unique and beautiful event. The sincerity, purity and truthfulness of the words touched our hearts and souls. We relived the victory of the Resurrection in this hospitable hall once again. We heard the voice of truth that the Armenian Church has been conveying to the people for the past 2,000 years. Glory and satisfaction to God for having provided us with the opportunity to educate and raise such Christian and believing children who will grow up to become the hope and future of our Church, our nation and our homeland.”

The Easter event also featured performances of festive songs by Lena Beglaryan’s Ovsanna Armenian Choir.
