On 13 April (Holy Thursday), the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church remembered the Last Supper of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the affirmation of the symbol of the Holy Communion.

At the Main Cathedral of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the Morning Service was followed by the “Karg Apashkharoghats” and the Noon Service.

After the Service, representative of the Etchmiadzin Magazine of the Mother See, Rev. Fr. Priest Voskan Hovhannisyan personally performed a Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral to remember the symbol of the Holy Communion that Our Lord Jesus Christ had affirmed during the Last Supper.

The lecture of St. Barsegh Kesaratsi before the Holy Communion was read during the Divine Liturgy.

On the same day, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians performed the Washing of the Feet Service during which the congregates of the Mother See read excerpts from the Holy Book and the words of advice of remarkable archimandrite of the 13^th century, Hovhannes Yerznkatsi Pluz about love.

Afterwards, the Catholicos of All Armenians blessed the water and oil placed on the altar, after which His Holiness washed the feet of twelve people and anointed them with oil, following the example of Jesus Christ and to the sounds of psalms.

Among the twelve were congregates of the Mother See, His Grace, Fr. Bishop Arshak Khachatryan; Rev. Fr. Friar Geghard Hovhannisyan; students of the Gevorgyan Spiritual Lyceum; students of the Faculty of Theology at Yerevan State University; servicemen, as well as students of the Eurnekian School of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and other schools and children.

The blessed oil was distributed to the believers at the end of the ceremony.

Later in the evening, the Betrayal Service devoted to Holy Friday was performed by Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II.
