U.S. government grants $400,000-dollar fire extinguishing devices to Armenia

On 28 March, within the scope of the plan of the European Command of the U.S. Armed Forces for Humanitarian Aid, the official ceremony of granting new uniforms and fire extinguishing devices was held in the city of Masis.
Among the participants of the ceremony were RA Minister of Emergency Situations Davit Tonoyan, U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Richard Mills and military commander of the American brigade, General Duane Deskins.
According to NEWS.am, U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia Richard Mills stated that the U.S. government would like to express gratitude to the rescuers and rapid reaction teams of the Republic of Armenia for their dedication to their service. “Emphasizing the professionalism and dedication of your firefighters, the U.S. government would like to give the Ministry of Emergency Situations devices designed for saving human lives. Through the humanitarian aid program, we have transferred devices costing $400,000 for four stations in Meghri, Sisian, Artashat and Masis. These devices will expand the opportunities of rescuers and firefighters to carry out their activities more effectively and will ensure their security guarantees,” Mills emphasized.
Mayor of Masis Davit Hambardzumyan expressed gratitude for the great assistance. “I am certain that these devices will help us save many lives over time,” he added.
