Suren Karayan presents the opportunities of making investments in Armenia to French businessmen

In the framework of his official visit to France, President Serzh Sargsyan met the members of the largest employer federation in France Mouvement des entreprises de France (MEDEF). The Federation is a link between the French entrepreneurs, leaders of different countries and private sectors.
At the meeting Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan made a statement.
In his speech Minister Karayan spoke about the Government’s plans, legislative reforms and investment policies for investors.
Minister Suren Karayan presented the perspective sectors of the economy, their development and potential, such as information technologies, processing industry, agriculture, tourism, light industry, pharmaceuticals to French businessmen.
The Minister drew the attention of businessmen to a number of investment projects that have been developed by the Government, as well as Armenia’s investment attractiveness, free economic zones, preferential trade regimes, access to markets, etc.

The Minister stressed that there is extensive Armenian-French economic cooperation, but we need to realize the existing full potential to deepen relations, cooperating on investment programs, diversifying and expanding French capital in Armenia.
At the end of his statement entrepreneurs addressed a number of questions to the Minister. The questions mainly related to the conditions of implementation of investment projects in Armenia, access to Iranian, European, EEU markets.
Minister of Economic Development and Investments of RA Suren Karayan had more than a dozen individual meetings with businessmen, who are interested in launching activities in Armenia (agriculture, information technology, logistics, etc.).
Agreements were reached with the following organizations; Airbus Group, Oberthur Technologies, Artelia ,Bureau Veritas, Inotech International, Farmex Technoligies, MDP Consulting, Sodiaal Web.ISI, Jamaris, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia in France.
