Intensive ceasefire violations recorded throughout the night

On the night of 28 February, the situation on the line of contact of the troops of Artsakh and Azerbaijan remained tense.

As reported the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Artsakh Republic, there were intensive ceasefire violations throughout the night.

The adversary applied types of rifles and artillery of different calibers and fired over 1,100 shots at Armenian border guards. In addition to mortars of different calibers and a D-44 cannon, the Azerbaijani troops also fired shots from a TR-107 rocket engine (5 projectiles) in the southeastern direction (Martuni). Let us also remind that Azerbaijan also used a SPIKE anti-tank guided missile in the same direction yesterday.

The Armenian side didn’t suffer any casualties during the ceasefire violations.

To pressure the adversary’s activity, the frontline forces of the Defense Army took response operations in case of need and met their combat objectives with confidence.

Currently, the situation on the frontline is calm.
