Renowned writer, screenwriter Kim Bakshin visits the RA Ministry of Diaspora
On November 19, renowned Moscow-based writer, screenwriter Kim Bakshin visited the RA Ministry of Diaspora and had a meeting with RA Deputy Ministers of Diaspora Serzh Srapionyan and Vahe Jilavyan. The famous screenwriter donated his seventh book about Artsakh to RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan.
Kim Bakshin is known to Armenians as the screenwriter and one of the creators of the famous 20-part TV film about the Institute of Ancient Manuscripts (Matenadaran).
For nearly half a century, Kim Bakshin has traveled across Armenia and has visited several countries where Armenians have always lived. Bakshin has also studied Armenian manuscripts in different libraries around the world, has visited several Armenian churches and has talked to our fellow Armenians.
“When I look at the Armenians with love and mutual understanding, it turns out that I’m looking at a large mirror in which the history and cultural values of the people and the common routes that we take in Christianity appear better,” Bakshin said on one occasion.
Kim Bakshin has written six books devoted to Armenia and the Armenians, including Eagle and Sword, Fate and Stone, The Resurrection of Saint Lazar, From the Monastery about Love, Our World is Like a Wheel and Frozen Time, as well as the screenplay for the 20-part TV film about the Matenadaran.
His books are direct and sincere confessions of love for Armenia and the Armenians.
In the end, the RA Deputy Ministers of Diaspora expressed gratitude to the renowned intellectual for his generosity towards and dedication to the Armenian people.
