On January 28, on the occasion of the 25^th anniversary of the formation of the Armenian Army, the scouts of Homenetmen Plovdiv organized an event attende by Honorary Consul of the Republic of Armenia in Plovdiv Yeghiazar Uzunyan, pastor of the St. Gevorg Church of Plovdiv Hrach Muradyan and representatives of the local Armenian community.

During the event, the scouts greeted Armenian soldiers with their performances and presented their upcoming programs.

In their speeches, the speakers emphasized the significance of the Armenian Army and the dedication of Armenian soldiers to the homeland and expressed their support to the brave soldiers defending the borders of Armenia and Artsakh.

“January 28^th is a day of a grand celebration in the history of the Armenian people and in the heart of each and every Armenian. It is the celebration of the powerful Armenian Army. Today, our soldiers are standing on the border and defending our free and independent Armenia. If we Armenians don’t support that powerful army and the young devoted soldiers, we will lose Armenia, the free Artsakh and will cease to exist as a nation. Once again, we express our greetings to our soldiers and wish them health and safety. We pray that Armenian mothers never shed tears and that all the soldiers, who are the defenders of our homeland’s borders, return home happily and safe and sound,” cultural affairs advisor to the Honorary Consul of Armenia in Plovdiv Aghavni Gevorgyan stated in her speech, as reported Hayern Aysor.
