As reported Hayern Aysor, leader of the youth wing of the Armenian community of Canada Hrach Mardirosian has been selected to be the torchbearer at the 18^th Winter Universiade in Almaty.

The first winners have already been announced. Armenia’s representative Sergey Mikayelyan scored the bronze medal after winning the 10 km  Pursuit and was only 52 seconds behind the frontrunner.
