Christ is Born and Revealed, Great Tidings to All-Christmas Eve in Plovdiv
On January 5, a large number of Armenians of Bulgaria gathered in all the Armenian churches of Bulgaria to celebrate the Birth of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
On Christmas Eve, the Armenians of Plovdiv were praying to God to bless all Armenians and keep them in safety and to see Armenians love each other and have faith.
The thousand-year-old prayers of the Armenian Holy Mass were said in the Saint George Church in Plovdiv.
Fr. Hrach Muradyan blessed pomegranates and expressed his greetings to the believers, to which the latter responded with the following: “Christ is Born and Revealed, Great Tidings to All”.
At that moment, thirty Homenetmen scouts entered with lags, bells, little red hats and candles under the leadership of Srbuhi Gabrielyan and filled the prayer house with warmth with their smiles.
The priest gladly transmitted the Christmas lamp to them and gave his blessing.
The night of Christmas Eve was a wonderful night in Plovdiv. The scouts disregarded the snow and cold weather and went from house to house to transmit the tiding of the Birth of Christ by distributing lit candles. Everyone sang “Silent Night, Holy Night”, “Bells” and other songs together.
The lights of hundreds of candles were joined with the lights of the candles lit by all Armenians and to their prayers.
Merry Armenian Christmas to all Armenians in Armenia, Artsakh and the Diaspora!
Scouts Mikayel, Alice and Arman of Plovdiv express their greetings to their friends who participated in the “Ari Tun” Program, the leaders, as well as the staffs of the Ministry of Diaspora and Hayern Aysor electronic newspaper.
We hope the year 2017 becomes a year of the unity of all Armenians.
