The “Abovian” Cultural Association of the City if Hague Joined the “What are you Doing for Karabagh” Movement
The “Abovian” Cultural Association operating in the city of Hague, Netherlands, headed by Mato Hakhvertyan, joined the pan-Armenian movement “What are you doing for Karabagh”. The goal of the movement is to assist by all possible means the people of Artsakh, its economic and social development as well as its well-being.
The “Abovian” Cultural Association, established in 1984, has dedicated itself since its inception to the preservation of Armenian national identity, in order to safeguard Armenian culture, language and traditions in foreign lands. The Association is a meeting place in The Hague not only for local Armenians but also foreign friends of the Armenian nation, who cultivate bridges between the Armenian and Dutch societies. Besides offering Armenian language, song and dance classes for children and adults, the “Abovian” Cultural Association organizes thematic days and lectures and cultural and social topics, commemorates Armenian traditional festivities and anniversaries.
