Exhibition Dedicated to Armenian Culture Opened in Poland
On December 6 an exhibition titled “Details of Armenian studio art” opened in the Intercultural Dialog section of the National Museum in the city of Kielce, Poland. The initiator and organizer of the exhibition is Pavel Gzheshike, head of the museum’s history department and a big fan of Armenian culture
As reported by “Hayern Aysor”, the exhibition showcases original designs symbolizing Armenian culture, such as carpets, belts, weapons, manuscripts and letters, writings, as well as photographs of medieval Armenian architecture taken by Pavel Gzheshikn himself in Armenia.
The items on display have been collected from the national museums of Kielce and Krakow, Warsaw’s Royal Castle and the National Library, as well as the Warsaw Polish-Armenians Culture and Heritage Fund.
According to Pavel Gzheshiki, Armenian history and culture are very rich and original, which had an impact on Polish culture too. By organizing the “Details of Armenian studio-art” exhibition, the head of the museum’s history department wanted to introduce the visitors to Armenian arts and culture.
The exhibition “Details of Armenian studio-art” will remain open until March 12, 2017.
