Armenian Academy of Music and Dance of Valence marking its 5th anniversary

On November 25, the Armenian Song and Dance Ensemble of Valence (director: Levon Chadigian) gave a concert dedicated to the 5th anniversary of the Armenian Academy of Music and Dance of Valence and to the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia and the Artsakh Republic at the concert hall of Bourges-les-Valence Theater in Valence. The event was sponsored by the Armenian General Benevolent Union.

RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan had also conveyed her welcoming remarks to the participants of the event. Congratulating the participants, the Minister of Diaspora mentioned that such events convey new excitement to Armenian communities and spark interest in Armenia and the Armenians through the presentation of the centuries-old culture and traditions of the Armenian nation.

“Throughout the five years of its existence, the Armenian Academy of Music and Dance has made major contributions to the preservation of the Armenian identity, and I am certain that, living far away from the Homeland, you fight as patriots to keep the honor of the Armenian nation high abroad. We also welcome your close collaboration with the Sayat-Nova State Musical College of Artsakh. We would be glad to see the students and staff members of the Academy at the events that the Ministry of Diaspora and other structures organize in Artsakh and Armenia,” the welcoming speech of Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan reads, reported Hayern Aysor.

The event also featured performances by Hamlet Gevorgyan (Armenia), Erna Mirzoyan, Lilit Avanesyan and Anna Izmayilyan (Artsakh) and Sarkis Haroian (France).
