On November 28, RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan had a meeting with members of the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party (SDHP) at the AGBU Alex Manoogian Center in Paris. The meeting was held as part of the Minister’s visit to France.

In an interview with Hayern Aysor, Chairman of SDHP France Kevork Sajlian stated that Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan greeted the attendees, presented the programs of the Ministry aimed at strengthening Armenia-Diaspora relations and urged everyone to work together to achieve the solutions to the issues of pan-Armenian significance. Issues related to Armenia’s domestic affairs were also touched upon during the meeting, and the Minister answered the attendees’ questions.

According to Kevork Sajlian, the SDHP, praising the activities of the RA Ministry of Diaspora, promised to make every effort to keep the love for the Homeland alive in the souls of young Armenians and promote the empowerment of the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora triumvirate.

“It is necessary to organize programs for young French-Armenians in order for them to spend their summer vacation in Armenia. It is also necessary to gain the trust of small and medium businessmen in order to make investments in Armenia and open chapters. This will help make the work easier. The SDHP affirms that these activities need to be carried out with the support and through the joint efforts of the RA Ministry of Diaspora,” Kevork Sajlian said.

The event was organized by the Coordinating Council of Armenian Organizations of France (CCAF) and was also attended by RA Ambassador to France Vigen Chitechyan, members of French-Armenian organizations and others.
