Frenchmen attack Valerie Buaye for wearing chain with Armenian cross on television

Valerie Buaye, spokeswoman for the winner of the primaries for the right-wings and centrists in France Francois Fion, has found herself in a scandal.

According to Le Figaro, France 2 TV invited Buaye to comment on Fion’s victory. During the news broadcast, Buaye was wearing a chain with an Armenian cross on air, and this caused uproar on the Internet. The problem is that, in accordance with French legislation, public display of religious symbols is prohibited.

Numerous users have accused the Deputy of the National Assembly of breaching the laws of the republic and the rules of the mundane state.

It should be mentioned that on that day, Valerie Buaye commented on Fion’s victory on several television channels.

After her interview on France 2 TV, she didn’t wear the cross on BFMTV.
