Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to Canada Armen Yeganyan has posted data regarding Syrian-Armenian refugees in Armenia on his Facebook page.

Ambassador Yeganyan particularly wrote the following:

“From now on, I will be regularly publishing information and statistics on the efforts that my country has made to receive our brothers and sisters who have left Syria due to the war and to provide them with shelter and assistance. God bless them all.

Release № 1. Due to the war, 22,000 Syrian-Armenian refugees have left for Armenia. Out of the 22,000, 17,000 are currently living in Armenia. Between 2012 and 2016, 18,000 have acquired Armenian citizenship, while 2,126 have obtained a residency status.”
