Artsakh’s Deputy PM Artur Aghabekyan and His Holiness Pargev in U.S. for Telethon 2016
Deputy Prime Minister of the Artsakh Republic Artur Aghabekyan and Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Artsakh, Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan are currently in the United States of America to participate in Telethon 2016, which is being held with the title “My Artsakh”.
According to Artsakhpress, on November 18, Deputy Prime Minister Aghabekyan and His Holiness Pargev were guests on the programs of several major Armenian television stations of the United States and particularly talked about the major role that Hayastan All-Armenian Fund has played in the society and economy of Artsakh. In his speeches, Artur Aghabekyan also touched upon the consequences of the Four-Day Artsakh War in April and the need for the efforts of all Armenians to eliminate those consequences.
On November 19, the Deputy Prime Minister and His Holiness had a meeting with members of the boards of the Social Democrat Hunchakian Party and the Armenian Democratic Liberal Party (Ramgavar). The Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated their role in preserving the Armenian identity and taking action to solve other issues of national significance. The sides discussed several issues related to the security and socio-economic development of Artsakh. The members of the political parties expressed willingness to continue their support to Artsakh’s development, including the “My Artsakh” Program of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, which is aimed at rehabilitating the devastated settlements in Artsakh.
