Phone-a-Thon 2016 helps raise 1.34 million Euros in donation pledges

November 20th marked the end of Phone-a-Thon 2016, which was organized by Hayastan All-Armenian Fund’s France affiliate and devoted to the devastated populations of Armenia, Artsakh, Syria and Iraq.

According to Hayern Aysor, nearly 700 volunteers of phone centers in Paris, Lyon, Toulouse and Marseille called 46,000 families and companies throughout the four-day phone-a-thon. The phone calls helped raise 1.34 million Euros in pledges for donations from four countries (Germany, France, Greece and Switzerland), which is 1% more than the donations made last year.

Hayastan All-Armenian Fund’s France affiliate, which reports this information, also states that there were 1,700 new donators this year and that the total number of donating families and companies reached 10,200.

The donations will be used to help the people in the bordering villages of the Tavush Province of Armenia, the regions devastated by the Four-Day Artsakh War in April and the Armenians of Aleppo and Mosul.

The four-day Phone-a-Thon is over, but you can still make your donation by visiting www.fondsarmenien.org or by calling 0810 24 24 24 before January 15, 2017.
