Russian Kaluga region’s Arax Armenian Sunday School joins Diaspora Ministry’s movement

The pupils of Arax Armenian Sunday School, which opened its doors in the city of Obninsk of the Kaluga Oblast of the Russian Federation, have joined the “What Are You Doing For Karabakh?” movement launched by the RA Ministry of Diaspora and have taken photos with the appropriate banner.

As reported Hayern Aysor, the school opened its doors on September 3, gathering 60 young and old pupils, their parents, the organizers and nearly 100 members of the Armenian community of Kaluga. The opening ceremony featured speeches by the organizers, including Karine Ghukasyan, Hovik Hovakimyan, Nara Avetikyan (one of the school’s teachers), member of the Armenian community of Kaluga Mariam Hovhannisyan and others. The red ribbon placed at the entrance to the school was cut by Suren Chnavayan and Nareh Azroyan, the school’s youngest pupils.
