Armenia has produced 46.8 percent (120.8 million units) more glass containers from January to September, compared to the same period in the previous year. Based on the statistics provided by the RA National Statistical Service, production of aluminum and metal-plastic doors and windows has increased by 3.5 percent (31,293 units) in the first nine months of the year, compared to the same period in the previous year. As reported by ArmenPress, in the first semester of this year, Armenia has exported nearly 36.2 million bottles and other glass containers, compared to nearly 33.5 million in the same period in the previous year.

Glass World Company and Saranist are the two companies producing glass containers in Armenia. Glass World Company was founded in 2004 on the basis of the crystal factory in Arzni, which has three production lines and has an annual output of 120 million containers. The other glass container-producing company is the Saranist Factory, which is based in Kotayk province and has an annual output of 15 million bottles.

The factory has nearly 450 employees.
