Armenia has produced twice as much vegetable oil

Production of vegetable oil has doubled and even multiplied in January-September of this year, compared to the same period this year, while animal oil production has reduced by 13 percent. Based on the statistics provided by the RA National Statistical Service, Armenia produced 3,256.2 tons of vegetable oil in the first nine months of the year, compared to 1,390.2 tons of vegetable oil produced in the same months last year, meaning that Armenia has produced 1 bottle of vegetable oil per capita.

According to ArmenPress, Armenia produced 401.6 tons of animal oil in January-September, compared to 461.7 tons of vegetable oil produced in the same period last year. At the same time, Armenia imported more than 1,200 tons of sunflower seeds in the first semester of the year, which is nearly 39 percent less than the amount imported in the same period last year. Almost all of the imported sunflower seeds are from Russia.
