115-year-old Turkish woman has 415 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, first husband was an Islamized Armenian orphan

Based on assumptions, Shaheh Tayurak of Diyarbakir is 115 years old. She has been married three times and has 415 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
According to the Turkish Memurlar news portal, her first husband was Armenian, and the couple had two sons.
Tayurak’s younger son, Jemal Tayurak, who is already 60 years old, says he has already lost count of the grandchildren. “Three years ago, she had 415 grandchildren, but I don’t know how many there are now. To find out the exact number, I need to gather all my brothers, sisters, cousins and the grandchildren and make a list, just like I did two years ago. However, one thing is for sure-15 grandchildren have been born over the past three years, and now there are over 430.”
Shaheh’s elder daughter, 90-year-old Teli, doesn’t remember much about her mother since her grandmother raised her and her brother (maternal grandmother-ed.). “We knew that our grandmother was our mother. When I was 6, my grandmother told me that our real mother had gotten married in one of the nearby villages.”
Teli said her father was an Islamized Armenian saved from the exile of the Armenians and his name was Ibrahim. Talking about her parents’ marriage, she stated that it was her grandmother’s decision. “My grandfather (maternal grandfather) had been serving in Arabia for seven years. When there was nobody to take care of them, my grandmother married my mother to my father living in the nearby village. He was an orphan and didn’t have any relatives.”
Teli said her father was an Islamized Armenian and that her father’s relatives, who were living in the Syrian city of Kamishli, found him and establish contacts with him years later.
“They had established contacts with my brother years ago. My brother told me that our father’s cousins had invited us to Syria. We had to go and meet them, but it didn’t work out,” Teli said, stating that she really regrets not having been able to meet them, as reported ermenihaber.am.
