On October 12, the archival collection of Iranian-Armenian prose writer and poet Levon Minasian transferred through the great efforts of his worthy daughter, journalist, pedagogue and famous cosmetologist in the United States, Armine Minasian, was solemnly granted to the Yeghishe Charents Museum of Literature and Art with the support of the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia, and the collection was displayed at the museum.

Director of Yeghishe Charents Museum of Literature and Art Karo Vardanyan expressed gratitude to Armine Minasian and highly appreciated her efforts to fulfill her father’s request and donate his rich heritage to the Yeghishe Charents Museum of Literature and Art.

Many intellectuals and literary critics gave speeches in which they praised the rich and substantial career of Levon Minasian and his great legacy in Armenian literature.

Levon Minasian’s daughter, Armine Minasian greeted the gathered, expressed gratitude for properly appreciating her father’s prolific career and stated the following: “I am in Armenia with a very important mission. It was very hard for me to bring such a large amount of books from Iran. The collection includes over 100 books, of which 35 are devoted to New Djulfa alone. My father really wanted his entire archive to be transferred to the Homeland. Now they are in the Homeland, and in the archives there are many valuable paintings, landscape paintings, valuable items, photos, as well as my father’s letters addressed to great Armenians like Shiraz, Sero Khanzadyan, Vahagn Davtyan and Hovhannes Shiraz. My father never expected a title or order. His patriotism was in the soul and in his blood, but I must say that his work was highly appreciated in both Iran and Armenia.”

Summing up, Anahit Minasian stated that she was also planning on donating some antique and valuable books from her father’s archive to the Institute of Ancient Manuscripts after Mesrop Mashtots (Matenadaran).
