5TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE RA MINISTRY OF DIASPORA

The creation of the Ministry of Diaspora was like the “sunrise” for all Armenians living abroad. The ministry, that is, the “rays of the sun” enlightened the souls of all Armenians around the world, and for the Bulgarian-Armenian community, it became a warm hearth that brought together Armenians longing for the homeland.

As director of the Yerevan Association for Culture and Enlightenment, I have expressed my commitment to organize many pan-Armenian events with the ministry. In 2012, we gladly participated in the “Ari Tun” Program, which was more than spectacular for the members of our group. The program not only filled our children’s hearts with warmth, but also sparked a fire in their souls that will never be extinguished.

The participants of the group spent unforgettable days in the Mother Homeland and missed Armenia while they were still in the country. I think this says it all. They have to share that “fire” brought from the Homeland…

All the pan-Armenian events organized by the Ministry of Diaspora are unique and different from one another. Mrs. Hakobyan is able to find the keys to people’s hearts and conveys strong feelings ot them. On my behalf, I express my deep gratitude and congratulatory remarks to the ministry, especially to Mrs. Hranush Hakobyan and her staff for being able to carry out such a tremendous amount of patriotic deeds in such a short amount of time. They have worked hard to identify very patriotic Diaspora Armenians and presented them with awards for their pro-national activities aimed at preserving our native language abroad.

Once again, I congratulate the Ministry of Diaspora on its 5th anniversary and express gratitude for presenting me with two very honorary diplomas.

The Ministry of Diaspora already does a lot by helping bring Armenians living abroad and longing for the homeland closer together.

May the ministry continue its efforts and become stronger, and may there come a day when all Armenians will unite and have a strong Homeland.

With respect,

Elizabeth Vardanyan
