The first plane carrying humanitarian assistance from Armenia to Syria has already reached the Hemeimi Russian military base of Latakia.

According to Hayern Aysor, on 3 October, the first batch of the 20 tons of humanitarian assistance was transferred to Latakia through an Il-76 plane. The foodstuffs were transferred to Consul General of the Republic of Armenia in Aleppo Tigran Gevorgyan, who will be in charge of giving the relevant orders for distribution of the foodstuffs.

The crew is also accompanied by Head of the Department for Armenian Communities of the Near East and the Middle East at the RA Ministry of Diaspora Levon Antonyan.
