Event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Armenia’s Independence held in Tbilisi
The Armenian community of Georgia hosted a festive event dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia. September 21st marks the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia. It is a day that all Armenians in Armenia and abroad celebrate as a major holiday. The Mother Homeland is the one and only homeland, and respectively, the birthday of the Republic of Armenia is a holiday for all Armenians. According to the Armenian national tradition, Armenians celebrate holidays with their close ones. They celebrate happily, sincerely and, why not, even noisily.
National songs and dances, a laser show, toasts for Armenia’s independence, freedom and unity, toasts for the Armenians of Georgia and more-this was what was going on during the event that the Armenian community of Georgia organized on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia in Tbilisi, as reported the Armenian community of Georgia to Hayern Aysor.
Let us remind that it was 11 years ago when the Armenian community of Georgia held a mass event to celebrate Armenia’s Independence Day. It may come as a surprise, but before that, it was not accepted to celebrate Armenian holidays in the Armenian-populated city of Tbilisi…Today, celebrating Armenia’s Independence Day and other national holidays has become a nice tradition for the Armenians of Tbilisi.
