On September 21, all Armenians are celebrating the 25^th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Armenia. This historic event is a grand and glorious anniversary not only for Armenians in Armenia, but also all Armenians around the world.

In life, the strongest person is the person who keeps smiling and never loses hope and faith in times of trouble. The same goes for nations. You, me, your forefathers and my forefathers, who have lived without an independent homeland, without a government and under the yoke of Arabs, the Byzantines, Persians, Turks, Kurds and Russians, have prayed for and dreamed of the Armenia that we have today.

Dear Armenians, how many times have you prayed at night for the Independent Armenia that is already 25 years old? How many times have you prayed to see our leader or the leadership and the Homeland to be on the right path? My parents and grandparents didn’t have the opportunity, but we are bearing the cross of our ancestors on our shoulders, FOR THE SAKE OF OUR NATION, HOMELAND AND HISTORY, AS ARMENIANS RENEWING THE SACRAMENT.

What do you want? What are your complaints? What have you done over the past 25 years? Do you want to become like the USA and Europe in 25 years? No, we still have another 25 years to become like the nations and states in the arenas of international community. What I am trying to say is that we should glorify what we have and move forward with hope and faith. Let us set aside our self-love, accept the present, remember the dark past of the centuries and, with faith and patience, set an example for the current generation with our sacrifices and our strong faith in the future.

Our generation is sacrificing and torturing itself for a strong Armenia. We lived a hard life. However, I am certain that the future generations will live well and in the Armenia that we want to see as we get ahead of ourselves. Let us forget our self-love and welfare, believe in the future generations and in the continuity of our history and Armenia, also as people paying back for the guilt of our ancestors.
