In the morning of September 8, Catholicos of All Armenians His Holiness Garegin the Second, accompanied by Deputy Commander of the Defense Army General-Mayor Vardan Balayan visited the military positions, bringing his patriarchal blessing to the commanders and soldiers serving on thefront line. His Holiness was accompanied by members of the Supreme Spiritual Council. This information was provided to “Hayern Aysor” by the Information Department of the Holy See of Echmiadzin.

 “Our blessing, appreciation and gratitude to you, for your dedicated service keeping our borders secure and maintaining the peace of Artsakh, Armenia and our people,” said His Holiness in his speech.

 Wishing a safe service to the soldiers, the Pontiff wished the young men a triumphant return to their homes.

 His Holiness also toured the positions, got acquainted with the conditions. His Holiness gifted the soldiers crosses as well as a cross with an icon for the chapel built by the soldiers.
