On September 5 President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan received philanthropist Arthur Varzhapetyan, press service of the NKR Presidential administration informed.

Issues related to the implementation of various programs in the NKR were on the discussion agenda. For the assistance shown to the Motherland in the implementation of significant socioeconomic projects and in connection with the 25th anniversary of the NKR’s Independence Bako Sahakyan awarded Arthur Varzhapetyan with “Mesrop Mashtots” medal.

Thereafter President Sahakyan and Arthur Varzhapetyan took part in a solemn ceremony of handing over keys from the cars donated by the philanthropist to a number of NKR state structures in the Renaissance square of Stepanakert. Primate of the NKR Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, National Assembly Chairman Ashot Ghoulyan, Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan and other officials were present at the event.
