Film “Caravan 1915” to go on the big screen in Turkey in October

“Caravan 1915”-this is the title of the first film devoted to the Armenian Genocide that will go on the big screen in Turkey on October 7, 2016. According to the Turkish Internethaber news website, the film is written and directed by Ismail Gyunesh and produced by Aynur Gyunesh.

The soundtrack features music by composer Suren Asatryan. The film stars Murat Han, Ayshe Akin, Ibrahim Kendirji, Ipek Tuzjuoglu, Fatih Ayhan, Ali Kemal Yilmaz and Merich Basharan.

“Caravan 1915”, which is the first film about the events of 1915 filmed in Turkey, presents the Armenian Genocide as forceful displacement and is about the many trials and tribulations that 200 Armenian women and children living in Giresun (located at the coast of the Black Sea) underwent as they were deported to Aleppo during WWI, writes ermenihaber.am.
