A new family, a beautiful matrimony in the Aleppo “experiencing” war

On August 20, 2016, Director of the Karen Eppe College of Aleppo Hagop Kilejian and the college’s teacher Nanar Babian united in holy matrimony, which serves as unique evidence of the viability of an Armenian family.

Kilejian and Babian have started a new family amid the war and the sounds of shells and missiles, and this serves as evidence of the known truth that whoever doesn’t want to die, lives by creating and letting others live and overcomes death by getting married and giving birth. From the Mother Homeland, we convey our warm and sincere congratulatory remarks to Hagop and Nanar, wishing that this couple blessed by God creates a strong Armenian family where love and peace will reign supreme and where the parents will sit at a table with seven sons, according to the Armenian saying.

May their beautiful and harmonious matrimony become the unique symbol of the end of the Syrian war! Let us win wars by living and growing in number.

With love,

RA MINISTRY OF DIASPORA
