Catholicos of All Armenians received participants of 3^rd International Media ForumOn October 17, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians received participants of the 3^rd International Media Forum at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The participants were accompanied by RA Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan and President of the board of the Media Congress for Journalists of Europe and Asia Ashot Jazoyan.

During the meeting, the Catholicos of All Armenians expressed his satisfaction with the organizers of the forum and expressed confidence that the forum will become the best contribution to the strengthening and development of friendly relations between nations.

Introducing the renowned journalists of different countries to the history and mission of the Armenian Holy Apostolic Church and its spiritual center-the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the Supreme Patriarch emphasized the important role that the Armenian Church has played in the formation and preservation of the Armenian national identity.

In response to journalists’ questions, the Catholicos of All Armenians presented the Armenian Church’s pro-national service in society, as well as the peacekeeping efforts of the Church for a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The educational and disciplinary activities of the Church, the various challenges facing the Church and the country’s socio-economic life were particularly touched upon during the meeting, reports the information system of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin to “Hayern Aysor”.
