Armenian cultural events held in Romanian city of Tulcea

On July 30, on the sidelines of the Ethnic Films Festival being held in the Romanian city of Tulcea, Armenian cultural events were held at the initiative and with the support of the Union of Armenians of Romania, as reported the press service of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The events began with opening remarks by Advisor of the State Council of Tulcea, President of the Tulcha branch of the Union of Armenians of Romania Eduard Lucian Simion.

Within the scope of the events, Envoy of the Republic of Armenia in Romania Ashot Grigoryan had meetings with representatives of the state authorities of Tulcea.

The festival included the screening of the film “Ararat” by Canadian-Armenian filmmaker Atom Egoyan and a concert featuring performances by Haiakaghak Dance Ensemble of the city of Gerla (former Armenoupolis). On the same day, pastor of Constanta, Fr. Priest Oshakan Khachatryan served a Holy Mass at the St. Gregory the Illuminator Church in Tulcea.

Reference: Tulcea is the administrative center of the homonymous county. The center is located in the Dobrogea region of Romania near the Black Sea. Tulcea County actively collaborates with the Tavush Province of the Republic of Armenia.
