Event dedicated to the 110th anniversary of Aram Khachaturian held in Tokyo
On October 15, a concert dedicated to the 110th anniversary of Aram Khachaturian was held at Oji Concert Hall of Ginza Center in Tokyo.
The event began with welcoming remarks by Armenian Ambassador Hrant Poghosyan, who talked about composer Aram Khachaturian’s contributions to the arts and his legacy to the generations.
The concert included performances of the works of Aram Khachaturian and Karen Khachaturian by renowned musicians, cellist Aram Talalyan, as well as pianists Armen Babakhanyan and Julieta Vardanyan.
Among the attendees were representatives of Japanese state organizations, leaders of diplomatic representations, members of the Japanese-Armenian Association and the Japanese-Armenian Friendship Union, as well as lecturers, artists and journalists, reports the RA MFA press office to “Hayern Aysor”.
