On July 8, the World Robot Olympiad, one of the most popular school competitions for robot construction, will be held in Armenia for the first time ever. The national stage of the competition is organized by Ayb Educational Foundation and has already gathered nine teams from different schools of Armenia.
The team that wins in the national stage of the World Robot Olympiad will leave for Delhi to participate in the international stage and represent Armenia in November 2016.
This year, the World Robot Olympiad is being held with the motto “Fight against Wastes”. The robots need to help children do cleaning, collect trash, throw it in garbage processing boxes and perform other similar tasks during the entire trip to school.
The teams will first compete in pre-selection stages and will continue the struggle in the final stage. The winning team will score a pass to the international stage of the World Robot Olympiad, writes armradio.am.
