$7.5 mln dollar investment program to be carried out in Armenia’s jewelry making and diamond-cutting industries

By the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, KG DIAMOND Ltd has been authorized to carry out its activities with the status of an exploiter in the Meridian Free Economic Zone. RA Minister of Economy Artsvik Minasyan stated that the company would be operating in the jewelry making and diamond-cutting industries in the free economic zone.
“KG DIAMOND plans to increase the amount of investments up to USD 7.5 million in the Meridian Free Economic Zone in the course of 9 years. Throughout the year, KG DIAMOND will be creating 15 new jobs and will be creating up to 20 jobs in the course of 5 years, setting the average salary at USD 600-800,” Minasyan said, as reported “Armenpress”.
The Minister emphasized that the company intended to export its products to the Russian Federation, the USA, Canada, Great Britain and Saudi Arabia, raising the annual amount of exportation from USD 400,000 to USD 1.4 million.
