Opportunities for Diaspora Armenian doctors to organize visits of medical missions discussed in the NKR

Minister of Health of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Karine Atayan received Healthcare Programs Director of the Fund for Armenian Relief, representative of medical monitoring for Armenia-Artsakh Fund Hambardzum Simonyan and member of the board of the FAR Medical Alumni Association Kevork Yaghjian.

According to the press release of the NKR Ministry of Health, Hambardzum Simonyan provided the Minister with information about the Ongoing Medical Education Training Program that the Armenian American Health Professionals Organization and the Fund for Armenian Relief have been carrying out since 2001, as well as the medical equipment, accessories and medicine that the Armenia-Artsakh Fund has been providing through a humanitarian procedure.

Kevork Yaghjian said that starting from 2014, doctors of Artsakh have been participating in the seminars and conferences organized as part of the Distance Learning and Consulting in Armenia Program being carried out at the initiative of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, during which they have exchanged views and ideas and established professional relationships.

Atayan and the guests also discussed the perspectives for conferences and the development of remote medicine in Artsakh, as well as the opportunities for organizing by Diaspora Armenian doctors of medical missions. At the end, Karine Atayan expressed gratitude to the guests for the longstanding effective cooperation and voiced hope that the cooperation would be ongoing.
