Mayor Taron Margaryan met with the Deputy Mayor of Marseille Didier Parakyan who is Armenian by nation. Stressing the current high level of Armenian-French relationship Yerevan Mayor attached importance to the friendly and partner relationship development between Yerevan and Marseille which are based on the friendship between the two countries and two nations.

Taron Margaryan also noted that the cooperation between Yerevan and Marseille has 20-year history and is developing and expanding from year to year which is mainly due to the activity of the local Armenian community and national organization.

Expressing gratitude for warm welcome and conveying the greetings of Marseille Mayor Jean-Claude Gaudin to Taron Margaryan, Didier Parakyan in his turn noted that today targeted activities are being carried out to accomplish all the projects provided for within the cooperation frame, which is the result of effective teamwork.

The Deputy Mayor of Marseille noted that every time he visits Yerevan he notices the positive changes in the capital which are visible everywhere and evidence sustainable development of Yerevan. Didier Parakyan also expressed willingness to expand the cooperation between the two cities as there is appropriate potential for bilateral cooperation development.
