Armenian IT Forum kicks off in Silicon Valley
The Armenian IT Forum was launched as part of ArmTech Congress at Synopsis Mountain View Compass in Silicon Valley.
As reported “Armenpress”, the goal of the forum is to present and discuss the trends in the development of the IT sector in Armenia and the perspectives of positioning in the international arena, promote international cooperation and engagement of investments and contribute to cooperation between IT experts.
The focus of the Armenian IT Forum will be on issues related to the development of Armenian startups. The participants of the forum will also recap the results of the Armenia-US IT acceleration program.
The agenda includes several topics, including the developments and success stories of the IT sector in Armenia, the creation of a global ecosystem of newly established companies and their relationship with the global market, the challenges and investment opportunities in Armenia, as well as the role of education in identifying the potential of newly established companies.
The event is being held by the Government of the Republic of Armenia, the World Bank and the Enterprises Incubator Foundation with the support of the Center for Entrepreneurship Education and Development (CEED) and Synopsis. The partnering companies are Microsoft, IBM, PicsArt, Hewlett-Packard, the Union of Information Technology Enterprises and the Union of Employers of Information and Communication Technologies.
