RA Ministry of Diaspora holds consultation
On June 6, a consultation was held at the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia and moderated by RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan. Among the participants were Deputy Ministers Serzh Srapionyan and Vahagn Melikyan, Chief of Staff Firdus Zakaryan, heads of departments and divisions, the directors of the “Homeland-Diaspora Center” SNCO and the “My Armenia” Pan-Armenian Festival, as well as the editor-in-chief of “Hayern Aysor” (Armenians Today) electronic newspaper.
The heads of departments and divisions presented the activities that had been carried out within the scope of the programs of the RA Ministry of Diaspora over the past week and issues related to the “Diaspora” Summer School Program and the “Ari Tun” Program. They also attached importance to active cooperation with Armenian communities abroad and expansion of their involvement in the programs of the Ministry and discussed issues on organizing the upcoming events.
Minister Hranush Hakobyan assigned to properly organize the upcoming events, particularly the launch of the 2016 “Ari Tun” Program, the subsequent sessions of the Inter-Agency Commission on Coordination of Syrian-Armenians’ Issues and the upcoming teleconferences aimed at organizing the activities within communities more effectively.
The participants of the consultation discussed the reduction of jobs of employees of the Ministry of Diaspora for optimization of the state apparatus based on the decision of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and made recommendations.
The Minister gave new assignments and designated correspondents and coordinators.
